Hormone Replacement Therapy
Bioidentical hormones are artificial hormones that are similar to the hormones produced by the human body: progesterone, estrogen, and or testosterone. They are used to treat people whose own hormones are low or unbalanced.
Hormonal Replacement Therapy (HRT) involves supplementing hormones that the body no longer produces at optimal levels during peri- and post-menopause. HRT can effectively alleviate symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, and mood swings, while also helping to prevent bone loss and reduce the risk of osteoporosis. Our office strongly advocates for the many benefits of HRT in improving quality of life.
There are various types of HRT and multiple methods of administration, including estrogen-only and combination therapies. We believe it is essential to discuss the pros, cons, risks, and benefits, as well as any contraindications, to determine if HRT is right for you. Coming soon, by popular demand will be the administration of hormone pellets.
