Health and Wellness
Health and wellness are actually two different concepts, but, in order to be healthy and happy, you need to incorporate both of them into your daily life. Health has been defined by the World Health Organization as “ a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.” Wellness is defined as a “positive approach to living.” It refers to the state of being in optimal mental and physical health.
Wellness involves taking proactive steps towards developing a healthy lifestyle which plays a large role in disease prevention. Regular exercise, healthy eating, and elimination of stress factors are all important lifestyle changes that you can make to become more personally responsible for your health and well-being.

The emphasis of our practice is on preventative medicine and wellness. We want to work with you to improve your health. Our goal is to make our patients more informed about the variety of pathways that they can take to achieving and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
We refer our patients to mental health professionals and health coaches such as Michael Bjornson, Ph.D., in addition to other integrative medical providers like acupuncturists and chiropractors.
